The Systems Engineering Support Analyst’s position is a hybrid position, supporting several systems engineering functional areas to include:  Requirements, Test & FDA Validation, Configuration Management (CM), and Product Development Lifecycle process management efforts.  It’s estimated that the analyst’s time would be allocated as such:  40% to requirements tasking, 20% to Test/Validation tasking, 15% to CM tasking, and 15% to process management tasking. Primary responsibility will be supporting the Customer Liaison and the Product Leads on Product requirements activities.  Secondary responsibility is to provide support to the eIT PMO’s Chief Systems Engineer, the Test and Validation Analyst, and the Configuration Management Analyst.   Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or relevant formal accreditation related to IT services and support is required.Experience in Department of Defense environment preferred.4 years’ experience in the IT field.Must be able to successfully complete a NACI background investigation.U.S. citizenship.DoD acquisition experienceFood and Drug Administration (FDA) 21 CFR Regulations and GuidelinesArmy processes and guidelines.Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must in order to interface with multiple teams on business and information management processes.Be able to understand policies, regulations, and guidelines that must be followed to keep the Project operational. Work schedule must be flexible and may require occasional after hours or weekend work to assist the Product Support and Sustainment team with product downtimesMaintain a professional and courteous manner at all timesMust be able to work independently following a brief period of specific technical training, and also be a strong team player when called upon.Understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project and Visio).An eye for detail and demonstrate the ability to absorb and clearly document complex problems.Have an aptitude for continued learning. Physical capabilities: work may involve long periods of sitting and or standing.   Primary Responsibilities: Act as liaison between the stakeholders/users and the eIT PMO office, supporting the product sponsor, liaison officer, and product lead in the requirements gathering phase to capture stakeholder requests and define requirement/specifications.Conduct requirements management planning that includes, gathering, analyzing and specification/verification of requirements/specifications on behalf of the eIT PMO.Evaluate and prioritize requirement/specifications and verify that the business functional capabilities that were requested have been met.Ensure traceability of requirement/specifications through the Product Development Life-cycle (PDLC).Support the Test and Validation Analyst with testing planning, execution and report writing.  See the Test and Validation Analyst position descriptions for specific duties.Support the Configuration Management Analyst with configuration management procedures, baseline document and configuration item accountability. Reference the CM Analyst position description for more specific duties.Support the Chief Systems Engineer with updates to the System Engineering Management Plan and associated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and Templates to facilitate process improvements and incorporate lessons learned.Maintain a safe workplace ensuring that he/she is aware of and observes appropriate safety and occupational health rules and regulations. Employee may be required to attend safety training relative to his/her position and report any infractions of safety procedures to the facility Safety Officer.   SECONDARY AND/OR MORE SPECIFIC DUTIES: Manage the evolution of the Functional Capabilities Document (FCD), the Product Specification Document (PSD), Workflow Implementation Document (WFID), and/or the Tool Implementation Document (TID) on behalf of the Product Lead, Liaison Officer and Sponsor.Attend weekly functional area team and ad hoc meetings.Attend Engineering Review Board meetings and provide input regarding requirements/specifications.Provide weekly status updates per Project procedures.Peer review and QA various eIT PMO document artifacts.Conduct annual requirements management training.Prepares meeting minutes, PowerPoint presentations for briefings to the Government Project Manager (PM).Participate in the execution of test scripts for eIT PMO products.   EDITOR OF PROCEDURUAL DOCUMENTATION: Management Plans and associated SOPs, WIs, and Templates Requirements Management PlanSystems Engineering Management Plan   PRIMARY AUTHOR OF INSTRUCTIONAL DOCUMENTATION: Work Instructions RMP Annual Requirements Review WIRMP Creation and Maintenance of RTM WIRMP Functional Configuration Audit (FCA) WI   MANDATORY TRAINING/ REQUIRED TRAINING ON DOCUMENTATION: Completed as required per DoD, eIT PMO, and contracting agency.
